Warrnambool Art Gallery

The Warrnambool Art Gallery is the centre of creativity and culture in the city.

Opened in 1886, the gallery is the third oldest institutional collection in Victoria and the fifth oldest in Australia.

From the classical to the contemporary, works by Renaissance masters Rubens, Dürer, Mantegna, Carracci and Règnier to the modern surrealist sculptures by Patricia Piccinini have visited in recent times.

The gallery also houses an extensive permanent collection, with acquisitions spanning more than 130 years telling rich and varied stories, which are a remarkable reflection of time and place.
